Financial Guidance

HOLYWOOD METHODIST CHURCH

Coronavirus Outbreak (COVID-19)

Although, sadly, public worship is suspended you will be aware, of course, that the Church continues to rely very substantially on the financial support of its members.

However difficult a time this is for all of us I thought you would welcome some guidance as to how you could help. I hope the following suggestions will enable you to continue to subscribe as generously and regularly as in the past.

Option A  If you are a regular subscriber by freewill envelope you may send it by cheque made payable to:-

Holywood Methodist Church (not cash) to:–

Holywood Methodist Church

c/o Mr Girvan Clarke (Treasurer)

25 Ardmore Heights

Holywood

BT18 0PY

Always ensuring that you add your Free-will Offering envelope number

- Rather than do it weekly a monthly cheque would be very acceptable.

Option B would be to arrange a standing order with your bank. This could, of course, be cancelled when things return to normal.

Option C would be to subscribe by direct debit/Bankers Order.

[For either Options 2 or 3 the Treasurer (tel 02890228634) would advise you.]

Thank you for your continuing support at this very difficult time.

Call to Prayer

The Church Leaders along with leaders of many churches, traditions and para-church groups are calling the nation to prayer, this Sunday (Palm Sunday) from 3-4pm. We can pray in our homes, or gather through an on-line platform to pray; for those who are sick, and those feeling fearful; for those who have been bereaved and those who are isolated and alone; for our healthcare professionals, delivery drivers, essential workers and all continuing to work on the frontline. We will pray for and with those in our communities who are fearful about their employment and their ability to provide food and shelter. We will pray for those around the world effected by Coronavirus. We will pray for our families and friends and civic, business and political leaders for the inevitable challenges that will arise in the coming days.

God bless, Gary

Pray

A primary response is to pray for all affected by Coronavirus, and for the whole community at this time

• for those who have the virus and for their loved ones for a real sense of God’s presence.

• for all who are grieving the loss of loved ones that they might know God’s comfort

• for all who are anxious because of Coronavirus, that they might Know God’s peace

• for healthcare workers that they might know God’s protection and strength

• for those with responsibilities in the Health Boards, HSE, PHA and government that they might know God’s    wisdom in      their decision making

• for our whole community, for economic stability and that we might be good neighbours to one another
